Happy almost-4th of July

Dad and Kai Jin making eggs...and the ever-present blue blanket and 'meow' the tiger

The water fight. Dad's teaching Kai Jin to shoot.

She loved playing with the purses at Kohl's.

Mom'll probably kill me for posting this picture...but she's 2...
Tomorrow's 4th of July so, Happy 4th everyone!

Stacey, Kai Jin wore that outfit you sent to school today, but I didn't get any pictures of her in it because she got it wet, one way or another, at school today and came home in something else.

Let's see, last Saturday, Dad and Brandon got into another water fight, only this time they had water guns. And Michelle's daughter, Kaci, was there, and got involved. As did Kai Jin. It was cute. Brandon was soaked to the bone and Dad was hardly wet. That was kind of sad...

Sunday, we went to Kohl's and Wal-Mart. That was fun.

Yesterday, I started my new job at the sno-cone stand. It's not so bad, except when customers want to be rude or something. I take the orders, take the money, some times grab the syrups if Julie or Jason (the co-owners of the place who run the ice machine) don't catch the orders and have already seized them, wipe the excess syrup off the sides of the glass, stick a spoon, a stroon (spoon straw) and grab napkins and hand them out. It's not very hard. Mixing the concentrate with the sugar-syrup stuff that is the base is fun. I'm only working 2 days this week because we're closed on the 4th and I was gonna have to come in late Thursday, like 5 pm, because of a pre-scheduled doctor's appointment so they just told me not to bother, they have it covered. So hey...probably just as well. Julie got sick today. I hope it's not a bug because it's the exact kind of bug I would catch.

Kai Jin is letting Dad hold for small amounts of time and is getting more friendly with him.

She had her eye appointment Monday, where they knocked her out. They said her pressure is fine, there is some damage to her eye from the glaucoma, but they can't tell just how much vision she has. We know there's some at least. They're leaving her off drops for right now, because it seems to be managing fine. They gave Mom and Dad a prescription to get her some "safety glasses", pretty much they're just glasses from what we gather. And we'll go back and see them in 4 months, see how things are going...so about the beginning of November.

They gave her goofy juice so she wouldn't spaz when they took her back. She passed out from the goofy juice. She was out before they gave her anesthetic. When they got home, you would've sworn she was drunk from that goofy juice. She couldn't even stand up on her own. She was like a sheet to the wind. It was really funny.

My daughter acts drunk with the "goofy juice" too. It is kind of funny to watch. I'm glad her eye pressure is okay. I'm glad she wore the 4th of July outfit that I sent her. Happy 4th of July!
