Our friends, Kim and Paula, are leaving for China tomorrow morning. Kim is accompanying Paula to pick up her son, Ben, from Shantou in Guangdong province. Paula is also taking her young daughter, Shae, who is from Hunan. Ben has a port-wine stain on the opposite side of his face from Reese's and is about a year younger than Reese.
Please pray for Paula as she picks up her young son. Ben is from Shantou in Guangdong, an area that doesn't speak Mandarin or Cantonese as a daily language. They speak a dialect only found in Shantou. Mandarin or Cantonese is not taught until school, and Ben is only 2. Pray the transition is smooth.
Good luck, Kim and Paula!
