Playing Outside

You can see the red in her hair that Mom pointed out to our guide on our way back from the Civil Affairs office in Shanxi. I think our guide said the Chinese consider red hairs to mean the child will be feisty. I can't remember.

Hollywood, here I come.

In the car with Grandma. No, she doesn't ride like this.

Reese and I played outside for a little bit today while Mom went to get her hair cut. Dad and his friend, Tom, who dropped in Friday afternoon, went about town reminising (sp?), so Reesey and I were alone with my camera. And I took lots of pictures. Still trying to figure out all the ins and outs of this thing; it does a lot. These were some of the pictures I liked best. We've discovered the Garanimals brand at Wal-Mart (genius, I tell you, genius) and bought Reese some new clothes at Wal-Mart last night because she's growing! (le gasp!). We're almost worried we'll wake up one morning, and she'll have nothing to wear. When we got her last May, at 2.5 years, she was wearing 24 months, and the occasional 18 months outfit. The shorts we bought her last night were at 3T (she's been wearing 3T jeans for a while, though) and the t-shirts were a 4T (for some reason, the collars on shirts are bad about being a touch too small (why? I dunno.), and they hurt her head going over. Search me as to why, because she doesn't have a big head. She's gained roughly 7 lbs since we got her and grown 2 or 3 inches.

Aww! Reese is just SO CUTE!!! Love the new camera! What a fast little grower! Sarah Lu is in mostly 4T's now. Now that the weather has just been getting a little warmer we've tried some of last years summer clothes on her, and some of them that were big on her last year are too small now. ;) So cute!
