We went to the library yesterday. After Reese had found some books on her own, I went browsing the kids aisles because we all know those are awesome. I came across two books I loved as a little kid- Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?. Okay, I read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, but hey, the Panda Bear version is about endangered animals. And it has pandas.
Anyway, I loved Chicka Chicka Boom Boom as a little kid, and I still do, honestly. It's as fun to read to someone as it is to have read to you. I read it to Reese last night, and she loved it. She loved Panda Bear, too. I read it about 4 times in a row. But this morning, she had Dad read Chicka to her, and then, she started "reading" it to herself. "I beat you to the top of the coconut tree. Chicka Chicka BOOM BOOM!", page after page. Too cute. I love watching her read because I was such a bookworm as a child, as was our Mom. I'm signing her up for the local library's summer reading club, where you get a free book bag for signing up, along with stickers, tattoos, bookmarks, etc. every time you visit for the summer reading club, which she will think is absolutely awesome. We're also both getting a t-shirt, provided there are still supplies. Those aren't free, but they are bound to be fun. And if Reese will wear it, we'll buy it. So, we'll buy it in the hopes she will wear it. :) Little Miss Opinionated.

Raeghan and Riley's play last year for school was Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and this year it was Brown Bear, Brown Bear ! Riley was the boy who held the bear, and Raeghan was a blue horse !
